Fulfill the challenges of a high-needs area in education – literacy and learning.
Candidates in the 阅读老师 Endorsement graduate program at Lewis University learn from experts in the field, studying the demands of the Common Core standards for the most challenged learners. During the program, candidates will learn strategic comprehension instruction and technology for literacy, how to diagnose and address reading problems in all students, and various instructional methods for different age groups. Upon completion of the program, candidates will be prepared for the state of Illinois 阅读老师 test and receive the 阅读老师 Endorsement for grades Pre-K through 12.
阅读 Specialist Completion Option
Candidates may complete the requirements for 阅读 Specialist credentials by taking just five additional courses.
阅读老师 Endorsement Non-Degree Program
Candidates may take coursework to earn the 阅读老师 Endorsement to add onto their 专业 Educator License, without obligation to complete the Master of Education degree. Academic Advisors work with candidates to customize coursework to complete the State of Illinois requirements.
The 阅读老师 Endorsement graduate program is approved by the 国际 Literacy Association (ILA). The program is fully approved by the State Educator Preparation and Licensure Board and the Illinois State Board of Education.
